"Satisfactory, but not adequate": Pro-democracy fighters
People injured during the recent 'jana andolan' say the 'historic' proclamation made by the reinstated House of Representatives on Thursday was satisfactory, but not adequate.

What more do these "Pro-Communist" fighters want? Still not adequate?? What else now, turn Nepal into another Pol Pot Cambodia? Or do they want just another failed state? Or what about "Sikkim-izing" or "Bhutan-izing" this country? Oh no, I forgot, the most democratic leader, Prachanda has his own vision of Nepal! Perhaps his rule will satisfy the pro-comminist fighters!
I as an ordinary citizen who always favored a democratic Nepal, am ashamed today! All the glory and pride, gone in one day. What kind of democracy is this when some 200 people can dictate the fate of 2.71 crore people? Now whats the use of conducting a constituent assembly elections when these jokers can modify/nullify/simplify the constitution as per their desire!
What next SPAM? Another uprising may not be far away!

Well now at least 200 people who talk and debate about issues before this there was only one and he used to make decession without talk or debate.......one who oppose monarchy system doesn't make him/her communist... I am not communist and I would never support one party or one person system. I support multi-parties system with presidnetial system and the freedom you are enjoying didn't come from one person.Infact if that person was still in power you and i wouldn't be able to talk like this

nee and aseems,
if we start our crusade, we can break the backs of SPAM.
anti_monarchy, you never HM Gyanendra a chance to take a decision. He was the only person who could have saved Nepal from anarchy. If it was any other person he would have killed you hired goons by now. thank your gawds that you people are alive and ruling the roost. you don't support a multi-party system...you support the rule of mobs and corrupted politicians. you are alone here and everyone is against your opinion. so just think, THINK!
People continue your civil disobidience movement towards SPAM!

Hi Indra,
Went through your article. Very impressive indeed!! But your article has left me wondering, what is adequate ? what else do we want. Isn't it already too much, which we should be getting. Can the elected leaders handle this ? Nepal looks like a totally failed country. We didn't give a chance to the King for three years, which is the only period he asked for. Instead we have handed over the power to a group of people who sucked the nation in everyway. These elected leaders are bowing infront of foreign powers, who wants to put nepal in there pocket as Bhutan. These leaders are also supporting Maoist, who fooled them enough in the past. Can you or Girija or Madhav tell me, what you are going to answer to the family of people killed by maoist. How will you console the families of killed army men, APF and civillian police ? Tell me how right are we to ask for any more than these leaders can probably handle.

shankar,
you are putting your voice on deaf ears. nepalnews, kantipur and himalayan are all extended branches of SPA-M. They have played equal part in the Mob movement.

Who ever have collected the facts about the article, please also ask the people who did not join the protests and try and put thier views. Dont be baised. you people from Media have already spoilt Nepal.
HM Gynandra could easily have become like Fujimori. as for making India happy all he had to do was give few hydro power projects. But these hooligans are safe in nepal becasue the King loves Nepali people.
Still time to wake up and what we here in Nepal must do is boycott kantipur and himalayan times.

I just love what jainepal just said,YES,IF HIS MAJESTY DID NOT LOVE AND CARE FOR HIS PEOPLE THEN HE WOULD HAVE NEVER GIVEN UP THE POWER THAT EVERYONE SEEMS TO BE ARGUING ABOUT".yOU HIT THE NAIL ON THE RIGHT SPOT MY DEAR nEPALI FRIEND AND ITS REMARKABLE THAT THIS WAS THOUGHT OF AND MENTIONED NOW!
nEPALNEWS ARE YOU TUNED IN?ARE YOU GOINGTO GIVE THIS SOME MEDIA ATTENTION OR DO WE HAVE TO "pay" YOU TO DO SO?
In this whole SCENARIO,His Majesty King Gyanendra has PROVEN to be the MOST LOYAL and PATRIOTIC amongst all us COWARDS including myself who happen to voice my OPINION in this FORUM.Looks like we oughto' support the real hero in all this caos and that is the KING who is losing everything just because he TRUSTED this generation that went onto the streets and cried out for this mess we all are in today.
DEMOCRACY IS NOWHERE IN SIGHT IN NEPAL and THE NEPALI CITIZENS ARE BEING DUPED AND FOOLED by SPAM for WATER!The BLOOD THIRSTY DEVILS are selling our SOULS TO THE DEVIL!
Peace and love alwaysmy friends,SAY A PRAYER for yourselves and Shanti love
