Soldiers do what they are told, not what they think they should do. Sad news, still, however.

Its very sad. We should deplore the atrocities carried out by Indian forces. Its India who pushed the refugees to Nepal and creats obstructions in their return. Sad a republican India protects a tyrant Bhutanese King against people: a real mockery of Indian Democracy.

dear bbs! what would be your comment if there was king's direct rule and a team sent to india for same purposes ?
perhaps you are well informed about king's africa safari with (R)NAC plane and tax payer's money and paras's vienna tour for nothing. At least try to write unbiased comments.

Don't you have normal common sense? The one which you mentioned was privilege of the ruling head of the state. And this one was taking advantages from the party with whom you are going to conduct negotiation in national aspects? You can't compare that. It would have better if they would have spent government's fund. They went there to do negotiation or to enjoy family tour in the expense of the other side. If they eat other side's salt (NOON) do you think they will be able to take stand on national interest? No point to tell you value of salt as you are destroying the statue of the founder of the nation (KING Prithivi Narayan Shah the Great) and worship terrorist leader.

who have given them the privileges ? they were self defined privileges through coup. At least political leaders are elected by people and are privileges. You are defending such activities of Gyanendra and paras by writing " father of nation and symbol of national unity" etc. Think about it, the people were crying on shortage of water, food and national was burning and the father of national war in africa for safari with people's blood. compare it with your own case, your father has moeny to play cards and drink alchohal and have no money for your school fee and your house holds. other characters are more important to be father of nation ? do not defend it with bad performance of political leaders and people's revolution by maoists

Analyzing the Present Violence of Maoist Terrorists and Different other Terrorist Outfits Emerging IN our This Once Peaceful and Beautiful Kingdom Today and Most Importantly the Potent and In-Competent 8 party Thugs also called ATANKA DAL's Dictatorship has welcomed
CIVIL WAR
in our country and it seems to be In-Evitable.
Maoist Terrorists and GIRJE is the one to Blame for the Death and Destruction of Today and These are the 2 Vultures who have Killed and Destroyed the Democratic System. Thing to Note is These Same SPA Thugs who destroyed our DEMOCRACY today are busy Diverting Attention from the Existing Democracy Till 2006 and Talking about Bringing Democracy
What the Helll is this??

Nepal says to revise 48-year river agreement with India
The 48-year-old Gandak Agreement between Nepal and India on the use of
water of Gandaki River has to be reviewed, local state-owned newspaper
The Rising Nepal reported Saturday.
The Agreement on the Gandak Irrigation and Power Project was signed
between the then deputy prime minister Subarna Shumsher Rana on behalf
of Nepali government and the then Indian Ambassador Bhagwan Sahay in
Kathmandu, on Dec. 4, 1959.
The cross-border project is for using the Gandaki River for
irrigation, electricity generation and flood control. "But none of the
provision have benefited Nepal," the report said.
The report says despite being the upper riparian country, Nepal has
remained at the receiving end since the agreement and understandings
have not been put into effect, a member of the irrigation committee on
the Nepalese side said.
Because of the dam constructed on the Gandaki River, around 30
villages of Nawalparasi district, some 160 southwest of capital
Kathmandu, suffer from inundation and river cutting.
India has constructed 11 gates from the dam and taken water to
irrigate its land in the Uttar Pradesh and Bihar states. On the
Nepalese side, although there are three gates, but one gate is always
closed. "The Nepalese farmers are in a more disadvantaged position
because the keys to the gates are in Indian hands," the report
reveals.
The agreement also has provision for electricity generation. There are
three power-generating units of 5,000 kw each and India has
constructed a 15,000 kw power generating unit in Nepal's land.
The 15,000 kw power unit was handed over to Nepal 24 years ago, but
now only two of the three turbines are in operation.
"The Gandak agreement has unilaterally benefited India and it is not
in Nepal's interest at all," said Ghanashyam Koirala, member of the
Federation of National Irrigation Consumers' Association of Nepal.
"The more the agreement is allowed to continue the more Nepalese will
suffer," says Nawalparasi party district chairman from Nepali Congress
Krishna Chandra Nepali. The second ruling party after Nepali Congress,
the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) district
committee member Krishna Poudel also says the agreement should be
totally revised in the interest of the Nepalese.
