RPP-Nepal not allowed to hold programme

The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP-Nepal) led by Rabindra Nath Sharma has decided to suspend its scheduled public programme in Pokhara due to lack of security.

The district security committee informed the party that it will not be able to provide security to its gathering scheduled to be held on Friday. The security agencies said there were possibilities of attack by students affiliated with eight parties as the RPP-Nepal is perceived by them as monarchist party.

Initially, the RPP-Nepal had booked the hall of District Development Committee to hold its gathering. However, the DDC later refused to allow it to hold any programme. Then, the party tried to hold a programme in the office of Magar Association. The administration said it would not be able to provide security there.

Finally, the party decided to hold its programme in Basundhara Park. However, after the district security committee wrote a letter informing their inability to provide security, the party decided to suspend its programme.

The RPP-Nepal leaders have been repeatedly attacked by student activists, particularly those affiliated with the Maoist in recent months. nepalnews.com sd May 27 07

Agreed. Everyone agrees.

we have to write further:
-once terrorist always terrorist, e.g. maoists as per anti_communist
-once dictator always dictator e.g. Gyanendra, hussain
-once family murder always family murder e.g. Gyanendra per nepali
-once bakshis badi always bakshis badi, e.g. hardtalk

by the way, Haldtalk writes same matter into all the threads. he barks like dog (give out same sound many times, hau, hau, hau,hau etc.), perhaps he is a harddog really. Otherwise he could inform us only once.
if he had brain to understand it, he would not support gyanendra.

Mr. Innocent,
Either you are real innocent (brain washed by the Maoist) or you are one of the YCL cadre....
If you have brain you will not support the Moaists terrorist, realizing their past image and present attitude.
Be faithful towards your motherland and be realisitc.
Do not blame any one baselessly, that is simple a psychological tools used by the Maoists.
Truth is always truth better not remember that bitter truth. That is indeed a wond to Nepalese monarchy as a true citizen you should not put salt in old wound. You are free to choose Republic or Monarchy, becasue we also believe in democarcy but blaming some with biost nature is not good any way.

For All Terrorists and Their supporters,

As we all have said Repeatedly,   ONCE A TERRORIST   ALWAYS A TERRORIST.    In Short " Maoists are Terrorists and will always remain Terrorists"  Killing of 15000 + civillians + Massive Displacement + Massive Infrstructure Damage + Talking the Kingdom HOSTAGE can never be justified . NO MATTER HOW MUCH  SPA-M Thugs and Terrorists Try.

Constitutional Monarchy with Multi Party Democracy is the one and only Best option for our Hindu Kingdom. This is the only way for the Peace & Prosperity for our Beloved Citizens of our Kingdom and the Kingdom itself.

Maoists Transfer Nepalese Blood and Money from India to Switzerland

Maoists Transfer Nepalese Money from India to Switzerland

http://newsblaze.com/story/20070707171218nnnn.nb/newsblaze/OPINIONS/Opinions.html

By Halshi Bash

I am a Swiss national and practice Buddhism. I have been to Lumbini, Nepal, the birth place of Siddharta Gautama and other places like Kathmandu, Pokhara, Lukla, Gorkha and several Himalayan regions, many times. I love Nepal the way Nepalese do.
The reason I have so much affection towards Nepal may be because my professor and mentor, the late Tony Hagen, renowned economist and very popular with Nepalese people, loveed Nepal more than his own country, Switzerland. He never tired of talking about Nepal.

Though I am a native of Zurich, the German speaking city of Switzerland, I am currently residing in Rue de Rhone (Rhone lane or avenue) of Geneva, the French speaking part of the Swiss confederation. I have been here three years because of my employment contract with the Swiss Bank, "Credit Suisse". All of Switzerland's major banks are located within walking distance.

It is the reason most of the employees of different banks come to a very popular eatery, "cafe de Geneve" to have their breakfast and lunch. At these times, we always try to outsmart our colleagues and friends of different banks by initiating a very hot or new item of talk. Swiss tradition is that whoever has a new or very hot topic is considered to be a smarter than the others. But the topic should be genuine and authentic. Anyone can lose his or her image for a whole lifetime if he or she tells an unreliable story. So, the Swiss people have a habit of speaking based on authenticity.

Very recently, we were all outsmarted by our friends at another bank. I was particularly shocked because the topic was related to Nepal, my dream country and by faith my mother country because Buddhism was born in Nepal.

The very hot item of talk was so shocking that if the people of Nepal listened to it, they would have a million watt electric shock. The leaders of the Maoist Party including ministers of the present Nepal Government, namely, Prachanda (Pushpa K. Dahal), Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, Krishna Mahara, Hishila Yami and others were here to transfer a huge amount of money from Indian Banks to major Swiss Banks. The amount of that money is even more shocking because it is in the hundreds of million Euros. If the people of Nepal ask the Swiss Government, it can influence the Swiss Banks for the disclosure of the amounts and the account holders.

For my part, as a person having deep affection towards Nepal, I will do my best to find things in details but the Nepali people should understand my limitations as an Assistant Manager. The Nepali people should ask the Swiss Government to freeze the money as soon as possible otherwise the Swiss politicians could be bribed by the Banks to keep the Bank's secrecy.

It has also been said that some European Union members are helping the Maoists to transfer money to Swiss Banks. Why are the capitalist western countries helping extremist radical Maoists is beyond my understanding which could be a good subject of research for the people of Nepal.

Constitutional Monarchy and Multi-party Democracy for National Integration

Thursday, 05 July 2007
BY HARI LAMSAL
'Nepal' the very word does not only epitomize from the very beginning the political integration of this country also encompasses language, culture, tradition, religion and the way of thinking and living of the four-castes and 36 sub-castes or the groups. In this way, Nepal is a representation of both the political power as well as the integration of culture. Late king Prithvi Narayan Shah, mindful of this reality, envisioned a greater Nepal to restore the glory of this country and initiated the campaign of uniting the smaller states and the fiefdoms.Considering the country's geo-political situation, religious sentiments, culture and tradition, social structure, historical background and above all the popularity, monarchy has remained indispensable for this country's existence. The fact that monarchy has always remained committed to maintain unity among diversity, to lead the country towards democracy and modernization and to maintain and boost the country's image and prestige does not need further explanation. To say in one sentence, monarchy is the highest patron of this country, symbol of national unity, foundation of political stability and the focus of national consensus. That is why we say the faith of the Nepalese people on monarchy will never wean.

Talking about any political principle, monarchy is the root of all other political principles or the philosophies be it democracy, republic, people's republic or loktantra. The background of monarchy dates back to several thousand years to the Vedic period and ruling the country according to a certain norm and process is monarchy. The principle philosophy of monarchy is the establishment of rule of law taking lessons from nature. Political science has clearly stressed that monarchy is the most appropriate process whether it is to fortify the society or strengthen the feeling of nationalism and to stabilize culture, tradition, or social justice or to establish peace. The basic tenets of monarchy are unity, development balance and people's consent. Other characteristics of monarchy in Nepal is that this country was unified by the crown, the crown has taken the leadership of democratic process and the crown itself laid the foundation for modernization of the country.
The Royal institution is the protector of Nepal's existence and independence and the republic system if that is established as alternate to monarchy, will abolish the country identity. A republican set up cannot understand the country's cultural, natural, social realities and the norms, values and the tradition of the people. The guiding principle of monarchy is the consent of the people and a king is not a ruler but a protector of the society.

In Nepal, there must not be any chasm between the democracy as wished by the people and monarchy. There is no other force except monarchy, which has remained a pivot for the protection of Nepal and democracy, to safeguard the country' existence. It is only monarchy that has been able to bring 25 million Nepalese under a single emblem. Nepalese If monarchy is used as a bargaining issue between the political parties there will be no check and balance mechanism and that will result in foreign interference creating chaos in the country. Therefore, in all situations there must be monarchy and monarchy must have a role in the country's politics. If there is a proper balance between democracy and monarchy, no one can cast an evil eye on the country sovereignty. The way democracy must not be weakened in the name of dogmatic nationalism, similarly democracy must not also be debilitated in the name of authoritarian monarchy. For that there must be a constitution that will create a proper balance between nationalism, monarchy and parliamentary democracy. This is also because monarchy has shored the country in times of need and tribulations. In this time also people have expected much from the constitutional monarchy in stopping the country from deviating from the path of uncertainty. People also expect that Nepal can march along with the rest of the world in the 21st century

This scribe still remember vividly the guidance and the his interpretation of responsible journalism for impartial and objective journalism and for remaining committed for the cause of the country and the people that King Gyanendra provided during an audience and special interview.

This scribe had received audience from His Majesty King Gyanendra on Bhadra 15, 2058 BS at Nirmal Niwas and His Majesty had granted his first interview. During the interview, this interviewer clearly found that the King was committed in fulfilling his role as constitutional monarch. His Majesty had said that the King had nothing of his own everything that belonged to the king belongs to the country. He had also said that he would fulfill his role as a king and considered each individual of this country as a 'potential' force. The King had said that we had two big neighbours and it would be out shortsightedness to play one against the other and also that we must understand the sentiment of each of them. Still, the King had focused on protecting the country's dignity and prestige.

This columnist had again got the opportunity to meet with the king on Jestha 15, 2062 and during the interaction the King had clearly said that the step of February 1, 2005 was compulsive and he had to take the step in the larger interest of the country and the people… He had pointed out that the country must be led along the path of democracy, and there would be no problem if those who have to work for democracy work with the sense of their duty and responsibility.
To the question that foreign powers were openly supporting the political parties against the king's step of February 1, 2005 and wasn't it interference in the country's internal affairs, the king had said: "The pride of Nepalese does not allow it to accept foreign interference. The characteristic of a small country is to remain alert, attentive and pursue a diplomacy that is pragmatic."

To the question of republic, raised by the Maoists, the King had said: "Neither the King nor the Maoists alone can wish for republic in this country. First of all the people's wish should come first." He had pointed that he was bound by the constitution and also that he had with total honesty fulfilled his constitutional responsibilities and the other political parties should also remain with the constitution, which he felt was not happening.

Maintaining that he had clearly understood the feeling of 25 million Nepalese, the King had said that we all were standing at a very difficult period and the country was facing serious challenges. Therefore, all who love this country must join hands, he had said and added that nationalism, democracy and prosperity were complementary to each other and all must strive in creating a new Nepal based on multi-party democracy and constitutional monarchy.

To another question of whether the royal institution has been a permanent and the people's institution, the King said the faith, belief and honour of the people was the continuity of monarchy and that monarchy had always and would always work for the collective rights and interest of Nepal and the Nepali people. The king, during the interview, had also expressed his complete faith on constitutional monarchy and multi-party democracy and had called all to come together to save this country from falling into the impending disaster.

On politics, the king had said that the Nepalese society was over-politicised and this will not work for the good of everybody. The country cannot move ahead if everybody always talks about politics and politicizes everything. Giving his view on the politicians, he had said that politicians themselves had complaints and grouses that our politicians did not have a 'vision' and against the politicians themselves raise the question of credibility on one another. "In such a situation, the people should remain cautious and aware," the King had said. On the correction of the announcement of Asoj 18, 2059 BS and the step, the King had said that it was also a compulsive step and he had used Article 127 of the constitution not on his will and wish but on the request of the political parties. The King had said that press was the heart of democracy and it should get into healthy criticism. "It must not indulge in demeaning and humiliating anybody," the King had said.
