If the CA election will be held without appropriate condition it will have no credibility, it will be meaningless.

The following from http://ohnepal.wordpress.com

This news will astonish some non-Nepalis…except Nepali people themselves. The Maoist terrorists went to the (illegal) Election Commission to register themselves as a party on Monday (09th April, 2007) but they could not get registered themselves because two of their comrades “Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ and Barsha Man Pun ‘Anant’ did not have citizenship certificates.”

Now, how could anyone go to the Election Commission without being a Nepali citizen? How could a person try to be elected as a politician in Nepal without even caring for getting a Nepali citizenship all his life? Perhaps he didn’t fit the ‘criteria’ to be a Nepali? Perhaps he is a non-Nepali by nationality? This baffles you? Nevermind.

No citizenship? No problem. You desire to take part in sham Elections in Nepal? You have the blessings of SPAM Government and foreign interference in Nepal.  So, “The two leaders acquired Nepali citizenship certificate from the District Administration Office of Kathmandu on Monday.”

How nefarious can things get in Nepal? Everything that is happening there is a virtual sham. The Maoists and SPAm can do anything and everything there and the public is just clueless and helpless. The Indians and the UN have managed to get their way in Nepal…we have another Sri Lanka (civil war torn country) in the waiting!

Maoists in the interim government
Gorkhali Nepal
April 7, 2007
To the victors belong the spoils. In the interim government, the Maoists, among their five cabinet portfolios, have bagged three particularly significant portfolios: Information and Communication; Local Development; and Women, Children and Social Welfare. Nepali Congress has kept the "prestige" portfolios of Home, Defense and Finance; UML has the other prestige portfolio of Foreign Affairs. It is ambiguous how long these portfolios will be maintained after the Constituent Assembly elections. It is even more ambiguous when the CA elections will actually take place.

What is interesting is the Maoists' choice of portfolios. Unlike the post 1 February 2005 government, the Maoists know the importance of "public relations" and "winning hearts and minds". The ministries now headed by Maoist Ministers are those which can most influence the opinion of the masses, cultivate the civil society and strengthen the party's prestige and influence.

Local Development means just that. If the people at the local grassroots level perceive the Maoists as their benefactors, winning their hearts and minds is a foregone conclusion. Government administration at the district and village/municipality levels will now be the prerogative of the Maoists. The networking which they have already established during their underground days will be further strengthened.

Leading the Information and Communication Ministry, all the outlets of modern media can now be influenced to provide the public relations for the Maoists' vision of a new Nepal. This is a valuable opportunity to influence the views of those especially at the local level, whether they relate to the Constituent Assembly elections or should there be a referendum on the institution of Monarchy.
Social Welfare is the umbrella for all societal changes and women's issues can spearhead initiatives in this area. The betterment of the conditions of women and children is a politically safe issue. Roughly half of the Nepalese population is women. Again, if women perceive their interests being championed by the Maoists, their votes will be ensured.

It can only be hoped that the SPA realizes the above and has admitted to itself that the Maoists can do the best job in these areas for Nepal. Of course, the political parties who are not members of SPAM have had no say in this matter; they have been relegated to the periphery of the national polity in this so-called "democratic era".

As an unfortunate side note, the plan to decide the fate of the institution of monarchy (as opposed to an individual monarch) by a simple majority vote in the first session of the Constituent Assembly is also a farce. Nothing but a national referendum can truly indicate a "democratic" conclusion of this issue, which has been relevant to the country for over 200 years. Let us nor forget that there would not be a "Nepal", were it not for Prithivi Narayan Shah, the first king of Nepal and the precursor of the present Shah dynasty. In fact, if sovereignty and national unity are given the importance they deserve, even a referendum may be unnecessary on the future of the institution of Monarchy in Nepal (not necessarily any particular monarch).

If the Maoists have accepted a multi-party democracy for Nepal, which they say they have, there is cause for optimism. But if the current participation in the government is just a tactical ploy, there is an imminent need to be on guard. The actions of the Maoists even after the signing of the Peace Accord do not provide much confidence as to their intentions. We need to remember how Lenin took over Russia, despite the international situation being vastly different today. Let us watch very closely how well the Interim Government functions: how quickly it ensures law and order, how wisely it resolves the interests of the Madhesis, and how it tackles the socio-economic needs of the country.

Is this make any sense of only introducing something like CPA,CPM and so so since there have been series of same types politically motivated documents revealed based on jointly approval and committment by the current state actors which almost have only been found neglected, ignored and non-implementable.Howlong these  sorts of dramaa  being  staged in the name of democracy and new Nepal which, indeed, is a real mockery to democracy, the best system of running the country with the concept of government by the people, for the people and of the people.
It's almost clear fact that no party  currently running the government is really been committed to democratic exercise like CA poll and referendum the launching a drama of CA is just for lingering the uncertainity period in order to capture the power as long as one can hold it so that it may be beneficial to the aprty to have maximumly gained the strategy for future politics. So,it's a nothing but a " Gai-Jatra " by which country may be called Jai-Jatre Desha because of corrupt and brain impaired leading actors of state.Jay Nepal !

What is the use of holding CA when 8 parties and their carade are still abusing people?HuhHuhHuh??

When YCL (Maoist) is even not leaving leading industrialist Like Shyam Sundar Sharda and still think Maoist are court itself and free to make law what ever suits them. What they think is always right?Huh

This is the biggest question. Girija please make people feel they are safe at their house and in Nepal at whole. Maoist, i wonder to say are still doing what they used to do when they were at jungle and now even administration is supporting them.

Please donot think people blind.

Even in CA polls if voting is not done by majority of people when again what is the use of CA polls?Huh? If atleast 2/3 of Nepalese voters donot vote in CA polls than i think people have refused they whole system.

I think even god cannot help Nepalese because we are not moving in the path of goodwill and co-operation and are fear of people who have muscles power and all sorts of power.

Here i want to state that i hate all leaders of Nepal as i consider them as good for nothing beside just doing things that benefits them.

Wake up people

Be united again and make Nepal a wonderful place to live in

Jai Nepal

AD HOC COMMITTEE OF POLITICAL ACROBATICS

It’s way too early to ascertain whether those so called Potemkin compromises would not hobble the country’s capacity to ensure it’s own rules of law.

Heretofore, the tough push of the power of sanctions vested in the newly constituted ad hoc committee of governing body ought to be kept at its highest pitch in order to bring forward all probable protagonists to the impending constituent assembly due in June. Moreover, to have a casting vote by ballot folks will have to determine at their own whether they are ripe and mature enough to decide for their destiny in a pacified, democratic and sovereign State or again make it burst out merely to go thru’ the whole rigmarole as in the past and remain staggering and kicking against the pricks as usual.

Admittedly, on this discussion forum I hardly go on an overmuch fling and at the same time I gather that some of the bloggers are putting the cart before the horse. We can’t possibly demand the chosen at random political parties as they are to bring about a guarantee for mandate and manifesto as well until and unless the incumbent prime minister has been able to bring down serenity and calm amongst the beleaguered protagonists that ran amok not a long time ago. They need to be first dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century right from the middle ages.

In case there is the breach of protocol, let us all be very intransigent and at the same time do our stint before we’d be seemingly obliged to kick over the traces and, then, determine otherwise.

Once the first step is taken there is no going back ‘cause of the spin-off effects (Quand le vin est tiré il faut le boire!)

Terrorism is Terrorism, People who Support and Harbor Terrorism are also Terrorists. There is no Justification for Terrorism and Loss of 14000 + Innocent Lives in our Kingdom.

Monarchy will and Must be Protected because it is the one under which The Kingdom was United over 238 Years ago, People have been living in a Fearless Society with Freedom. Prosperity was there since Terrorism Started and is Deteriorating every day.

Politics of   Religion, Cast & Ethnicity will only lead to Destruction and This is also Started by these Same Terrorists called  MAOISTS in   NEPAL.   So people who want to Keep Killing in the Name of New Nepal and That NEPAL should Think again and Work for the Benefit of Our Kingdom.

Bottom Line:  Constitutional Monarchy with Multi Party Democracy Holds Upper Hand over  MAOISTS COMMUNISM.
