Nepal's position improved in press freedom index; stands at 159th position

Indeed the position of press freedom in Nepal is yet not accepted level. It is not so noteable improvement in the press freedom by gaining  one up than last year,in reality it must be up more than that because usually amid the full phase armed conflict and  during ceasefire time the position of fourth state is not comparable in terms of its freedom. So,this so called improvment is not the highly highlighted news as it is seen. The freedom of press is the real excercise of democracy that is why where there is full freedom of press there the democracy is in fullest. One of the most basic pillar of the independent press is a rule of law.In fact, currently the country is not exactly  operating by the theory of rule of law, that is why we need to run the country by single system of accepted rule of law. so , SPA government and so called peoples government of rebels must not be rulling the country for democracy and freedom of press.Jai Nepal

A piece of good news admist gloomy news-but ofcourse more improvement needs to be made and both the State and the rebels must insure that the Press are allowed to perform their duties unhindered and without a threat to their lifes.
