Coordinator of the Interim Constitution Drafting Committee, Laxman Prasad Aryal, has said that the committee’s work is being delayed due to a lack of consensus among the seven-party alliance (SPA) and the Maoists on important issues.

The coperation of political parties is a must put an interim constitution in place. They must relaise that it is the first step towards permenant peace and democracy.Hurdles should not be created in achieving this objectives.The parties will compete under the new constitution.For a year or two they must abstain from putting their interests before the nation's.
