Locals protest against Maoist abduction

The residents of Hiramaniya village of Banke district staged demonstrations in Nepalgunj Tuesday against Maoists protesting the abduction of two youths in the district.

Maoists rebels abducted one Hemant Bahadur Thapa of Hirminiya-2, Pahadiyanpur and another local Jay Lal Maut on June 29 on charges of being involved in looting.

Good job locals - they are doing the govt.'s job as it should be the govt. strongly protesting, but it seems that they are too busy appeasing the Maoists and overlooking such violations by the Maoists.

The Maoists are also learning about what it means to come into mainstream politics. They are now accountable and must address concerns of the public: I wonder how long this will last.

Like the autocracy the maoist brutality can only be eliminated if people unite the way they did. The maoists are a confused bunch of insincere reds and the SPA a bunch of naive politicans. They must understand that people will settle for nothing less than a full fledged multi-party system no matter what ever anyone thinks. The Maoists want a communist dictatorship and Gyanendra wants a royal one, and if the SPA does not relaise it one of them just might succed and the already fed up citizens will have to shed more blood to remove  another dictator.April 2006 must be last bloody political change and as the people trusted the SPA they must insure it at all costs.

In a recent poll held across websites, the people voted for in this particular order:

First came Democracy under King

Second came Maoists

Third came SPA

Haha; SPA is a bunch of hooligans, corrupt politicians who plundered Nepal and gave birth to terrorism and took support of terrorism and gave it support.
