NA forms taskforce for disappeared people; detains Colonel

The Nepal Army (NA) has taken into custody Colonel Raju Basnet of the Bhairavnath Battalion for investigation into the alleged disappearances of 49 people detained at the Battalion.

The action shows NA's commitment towards human rights and it is also a concrete proof of NA becoming democratic

I hope we can get to the crux of the issue with this.
I really doubt such disappearances were widespread during the royal regime; could be just few bad apples.
But then again, anything is possible in this country.

what about the Maoist killings, toture, rapes etc etc.......the UNHCR should also investigate these issues !!

Now it is the maoist's turn to form a similiar panel.The move shows the NA is becoming resposible and changing with the times.......your turn comrades for the absuses commited by exceed that commited by the NA.
