For the sake of Matribhumi

Since its creation, Non resident Nepalese Association (NRNA) is being led by Russia-based businessman Dr Upendra Mahato. The upcoming convention of the association, schedued for October this year, will not allow Mahato, by law, to continue in the same top job. To succeed him, three veterans have announced their candidacy – Ram Pratap Thapa, Dev Man Hirachan and Bhim Udas.

I have not, do not, & will not believe in NRN or something like hat that specifies a person with one citizenship and another residency. For me Nepalese citizens have nepalese residency status and therefore, people who don't have residency with Nepal are not nepalese no matter what the circumstances are.

For the sake of matribhumi if you are nepalese please remember an essay by Taranath sharma "Ghan-ghasya ko ukali chada". One great point is that before you seal off somebody's else leaking roof, you patch your leaking hole first.

Anyway, nepalese all around the world should unite together for the better future of the country. Be nepalese all times.....

it is only the Nepalese who can make better and prosperous Nepal. No people outside the border of Nepal can improve the conditions of people in any sector. So, the first instance is the people in nepal should incorporate themselves for better and prosperous Nepal. The instability in all sectors with disturbed harmony in every field as well as increasing violence has caused Nepal degrading its ranking day by day. These problems can only be solved within our nation and only by the people residing in it. First these problems are to be solved by our political parties and the leaders. Our political system should guarantee the basics of human life then only the support from others can be implemented.
So, The basic for the better NRNA policy's implementation is peace, democratic and fair Nepal. Then the turn will come to NRNA leaders to show their skills, knowledge and experience to improve living standards of each Nepalese. I hope and wish that the days are sooner for NRNAs to implement their activities for better and prosperous Nepal. If the NRNAs do something good then we will surely appreciate and welcome their coming tasks with coordination. If this will not be the case, we will say "JATI JOGI AYA PANI KANAI CHIREKA' But Optimism brings some hope. BEST OF LUCK FOR ALL THE CANDIDATES AND MAY THE BEST PEOPLE WITH GOOD AGENDAS AND IMPLEMENTATION POWER WIN".

If the more observant amongst you are asking whether ‘The Republic’ is for sure not a ‘slam pig’ why are there so many ‘lazybones gentlemen’ are lining up to be pitchforked into the job of a minister?

Does the new premier have no good sales pitch? A builder is judged and gauged while he has his back to the wall.

The new situation calls for a new approach. What is the sticking point? Why can’t he get to the root of it?

Everybody seems to be taking this affair as some sort of high jinks. Before you all have a brilliant approach leave us for a while to laugh up our sleeve.

I figure what is eating into him is certainly the angst and fear to be not up to the height of the exceptional situation. But we can assure him that we believe in his capacity and know that he could be tough enough if occasions thrust him into the position to be so.

I don’t think that he wants to tip his mitt too early. He first wants to earn his legitimacy so as to nip in the bud those sycophantic laughers by not providing them the occasion to criticize his government which shall not be a tinpot one. Those who have a little bit of knowledge of the mindset of a spin doctor know all these tricks quite in advance.

“If youth but knew, if old age but could.” I feel like living in a time warp! Somebody must hasten to try to improve his timekeeping so that he could aggregate variables that are, in some sense, incommensurate!?!

To get to the nub of this case, it might have served us well in a not too distant past while Nepal was in need of serious revisions to promote societal well-being and was searching some sort of a modern ‘Zorro’ to save the nation. But now as I had already warned you all that the commies would make mistake and sure enough they did. For some time, a heavy torrent has swept them like fallen autumn leaves and logs down to the Indian Ocean.

In an advisory capacity, I can affirm that they just need to be level-headed to make a prompt come back before the new appointee as the head of government could give a few finishing touches for his new choices of line-up.

In passing, I suppose some unwanted buggers are asking us not to save our tidbit for the end and are vigorously inviting us to be harsh for their allegedly partisan spirit and oh how much unnerving rhetoric about the rights to have citizenship or not.
You’ve not heard certainly the last of me, that little runt of a man!!!

kshristiraj you are full of shit you dont know what you are talking about you are living in a very tiny bubble of your limitations  that if some body whoever/wherever wants make a statement (positive/negative, verbally/physically) about Nepal you'll oppose no matter what, you are a Xenophobic & a neophobic  douche bag, expand your limits and then make a statement NRNs are thinking about contributing to nepal even if they dont have to, in fact they dont really have to give a rat's ass, and people are actually are against that, fuckin unbelievable, its like stay the fuck away from this country and let it be in the stone age, if you try and help you are a motherfucker

I fear neither NRN nor those sitting in high rankings from NA to government. I still do not fear those so called Maoists who brought so called people’s revolutions.  But I do fear the future which has no place for individual civilization, tradition, and culture. The growing trend of neo-liberals will eventually cease the time bringing the End of History in reality. Since 16th century, the western civilization has been in continuous propagation in its expansion to the east and to the new worlds. In doing so, their best interest always lied in welfare of their own people rather than collective gain. The trend showed us the British rule throughout Asia for almost 300 years; French, Spanish and Portuguese conquered South America. Even Africa was not spared. Ruthless killings of Aztec by Cortés` , slavery of black in Europe and America,  British autocracies  around the globe is not something that a human society will ever forget  not for those who went deep into the history and learned how Hitler, Pinochet, pol pot and Ho Che Minh came into power.  Never the less, the history of Trojans, Corinthians, Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, The Roman Empire, Byzantine Empire, Ottoman Empire, The Napoleon Bonaparte couldn’t be forgotten in defining why we stand so proudly though out the history. I do believe in globalization only to the extent where individual civilization and state is recognized and left alone to progress to the prosperity. The thing NRNs are advocating is shameful and ideologically unethical. I do say that it is shameful because entire my life I tried not to be opportunist but look at me now I am one of those….a disgraced citizen who gave up his country and residency in order of pursue of happiness. Pursue of happiness? Is that a definition of citizenship to somebody?
Pursue of happiness has caused me to denounce my Nepalese citizenship and residency to adopt the citizenship in United States and now I want it back. Is this ethical? For those who define themselves highly ethical answer me this, is dual citizenship a way forward to the future? Economically, I believe it is. But why we have to give up our residency and citizenship status in order to get citizenship in United States? Also, in future when time come will your priority lie for Nepal or United States? If hegemony states do not permit dual citizen then why smaller county should? I could have retained my Nepalese citizenship but that wouldn’t allow me to become U.S. citizen. Is this right? I will believe in dual citizenship when the hegemony country like U.S. and U.K will apply the same but till then one county, one citizenship.
“I can do a lot if I have dual citizenship. It will be easy for me to intermingle in globalization and further advance my progress. And tomorrow when time comes I will leave the weaker one and join the strongest one. In future, weaker one may be Nepal or United States or United Kingdom who knows but my support will be to the strongest one because I am an opportunist. “This is the definition of NRNs for me and will be forever although I am a NRN. It is not easy to find myself in this position but I couldn’t find any other definition in the history. From the French revolution to the American Civil War, I tried my best to fit myself to an appropriate definition but couldn’t achieve one. I do not want to be a part of looser society and therefore will adopt with the winner. I don’t care state sovereignty neither do I care about the national security. For me everything lies in pursue of happiness and that will only come with changing my residency and citizenship status as appropriate with the time.
Therefore, those highly intellectual ignorant please make yourself understand, NRNs are not Nepalese. They are the citizen of different country of Nepalese origin. For me I am a citizen of United States of Nepalese origin and this doesn’t entitle me to advocate and ask for Nepalese citizen which I already denounced while obtaining U.S. citizenship……

                                                    In quest of lost time

Unwittingly for years Americans’ shopping spree spelt jobs elsewhere in Japan, South Korea, China, Indian sub-continent, Southeast Asia; thus providing globalization with a solid political keystone. As for now this prop vanished, the world is in search of new ways and means for growth especially in advanced economy as it takes lots of time to create non-transferable and plum jobs in high technology.

As long as there are difficulties in creating new prospects for financial and economic system there shall be no spurs of growth available in those advanced countries. In consequence of which, the emerging nations shall remain stymied between sufficient and dire state of necessity with regard to seed capital thereby becoming indirectly the victims of trickle-down theory.

To be specific, in today’s world it is next to impossible to be against globalization lest you get lambasted and accused of being retrograde, having a blinkered approach to human progress and protectionist due to the fact that many underdeveloped nations could ameliorate their pittance and living standards quite substantially thanks to the global free market economy.

But if we consider it from the standpoint of political ethics, it could be real hard to maintain such a discourse because the concerned politics are subject to confrontation with their electors who could hardly tolerate the laissez faire policy of free market disparities, if the latter have got to suffer from its far-flung and untoward consequences.

When the economy of a country stagnates for a long spell the citizen-voters are compelled to change their representatives by sending alternate candidates to the parliament as it occurred so in Japan of late. Because, the financial and economic stalemate in this country lasted for almost two decades bringing Japan to the brink of near nervous breakdown.

It is becoming increasingly evident that no economic wizards could accomplish miracles in financial marketplace.

It might sound tremendously primitive by today’s standards. Yet before the Reaganism of 1980s folks in the Occident enjoyed relatively higher living standards with less job losses.

Introduction of financial deregulation created no doubt some of the brand new derivatives by enlarging the number of financial institutions namely, AIG, Citigroup, Bank of America and its ramification throughout the world, to name a few such as the City of London, Barkley’s, BNP and Paris Bas, Deutsch Bank and UPS etc..

In fact the financial system became very enticing for all those new scholars who were in search of sensational, risky and adventurous professions. Everywhere all over the world new Business Schools sprouted like mushrooms in order to attract and drain new brains.

And slowly this branch of business activities scelorosed due to the insatiable greed of some tainted bankers.

They eased off some of the nauseating loans to such an extent that the inhabitants of North America became spendthrift as well as addicted to numerous credits without a guarantee to reimburse. All sorts of credit card debts, loans for purchasing household commodities and subprime mortgages for buying houses were crammed into without any limit to verification.

Traders and other financial wizards profited from such wheeling and dealing of extravaganzas to the max by getting lavishly rewarded as percentage commissions and bonuses. But the key promise of securitization at length proved to be merely a far cry from what was formerly promised, and such a fraud was felt severely like a bolt from the blue by the stakeholders when it began to wreck the very cornerstone of financial and economic system as a whole.

Obviously, if those Western Governments involved in this one of the worst financial meltdowns since the slump of 1930s, do not think of winding up with the past methods by inventing new regulation, I remain quite dubious about the sustainable recovery of global financial system unless the following four drastic measures be undertaken by the G20 summit of Pittsburgh (USA) to be held come September 24 and 25:
1) Complete eradication of tax haven strongholds.
2) Stopping payment of bonuses to traders no matter what should be their speculative performances.
3) Only under strict control of watch dogs hedge funds and Sovereign Wealth Funds (SWFs) should be allowed to participate in protracted and global financial and economic system so as to avoid ‘Casino economy’ and in turn Banks must release loans for investment.
4) Carbon (CO2) tax must be restored at the entry of those prejudiced and baffled countries to avert dumping of low cost goods to remunerate those who are deprived of salary and other perks because of commercial irregularities perpetuated by some rogue and self-centred individuals and countries.

Only State intervention could bring global financial and economic system to normalcy, albeit the USA hates such processes.

As for the imminent construction of so called fast track Highway beginning right from Kathmandu city to Terai (probably Nidjgar) I am still skeptical as to how come such an epoch molding project for Nepal has not been disclosed as yet by the current government. Because, sure enough, there are some very astucious suggestions could be duly adjusted thus making this project a successful endeavor as a whole.

I for one would like to draw attention of the concerned authority to the fact that by excavating a tunnel underneath Siwalik Parbat the whole trajectory could be shortened by almost half instead of preestablished 80 kms, and there is a high possibility to bring a high speed train (HST) to Kathmandu which could be linked straightaway to the future International hub Airport. Moreover, this said Airport could serve as a crossing center of all traffics hovering from all four cardinal directions namely, from the East coming from Biratnagar and Janakpur, from the South from Birgunj, from the West coming from Lumbini and Nepalgunj, and from the North coming from Kathmandu valley and Pokhara in near future.

Where there is a will there is a way. If Chinese are able to bring a train to Lhasa why Nepalese cannot bring the same over to Kathmandu city? That way a population shift from Kathmandu valley could be duly envisaged if things go as they would be conceived.

Let us be a touch more upbeat remembering an old adage which goes as follows: “If you hear something you forget it, if you see something you remember it, but if you do something you learn it.”

Blame Michael Jackson.

Id also like to say a big THANK YOU to Zip.  He suggested turning the Latex plugin off, which has helped performance considerably, even moreso so for IE users.

On the upside, we should get some new users from this.

Larry the zookeeper has made the mistake of going on vacation, and now he’s in a bit of a pickle…well, more like a straitjacket than a pickle Apparently, he spotted a giant penguin near Witchaven, and now he suspects that the other penguins may be up to something. The problem is that his superiors at the zoo don’t believe him. Speak to Larry to find out what the penguins have been up to, and help him stop them before they take over the world

It won’t be easy to discover what the penguins are plotting, however. You’ll have to travel back to the iceberg from the Cold War quest, and don your penguin suit, to begin your espionage. Creative thinking will be needed if you’re going to get any information from the penguins, but you will find friends on the iceberg to help you: Ping and Pong will be glad to see you, and you can help them finish their new song.

After youve finished the Hunt for Red Raktuber, youll still be able to put your keen Hunting skills to the test. A new area will be available near the Iceberg, where you‘ll be able to track down new penguin recruits. You may also find an unusual kind of spy moving around RuneScape, so keep your eyes well peeled

I’ve had a great time developing The Hunt for Red Raktuber, and I hope all you penguin fans out there enjoy it as much as I have.
