2009: Potentially crucial year for Nepal
Nepal is definitely at the crossroads. It is still not certain whether Nepal will see the establishment of a durable peace or a protracted conflict. The chances of going either way is almost fifty-fifty. And with this uncertainty we welcome the international New Year.

Every one have welcomed the morning glory of 2009. Each and every years are crucial for the human kind but some of them become special and that may differ from nation to nation. Surely, we have great deals that are needed to be dealt wisely and peacefully. The new year has started with some vibrations in the political movement in the country. The religion has been the new target of the government. There has been no thing left to be targeted over neither the Nepalese army or the Pashupatinath. It's the bang opening from the government and no surprise the gift with it is the dispute of MJF coming at the surface level.
The world will be fighting with the economic crisis, nepal will not be leaving alone as in 2008, because the country withstands with the base of remitance, and the world economic crisis will limit our remitances. The country is falling in industrial hollowness with the load shedding from one end and the labours from another end. The economy is going towards which side, who can tell it ?
The army integration, the fight between two Y s will be seen violently in the Free Students' Union election, similarly the cadres of NC and Nepal Students' Union will be attacked more frequently as the election comes near by. The press will be threatened once more, because we have only seen the trailor. The attacks on the basic human rights may be on sake in this year.
There is no thing to laugh at thinking about the maoist, because this all will lead to the failure of government which will result in the failure of nation and we nepalese should be aware that our country shouldnot go to failures , so this year 2009 should be the year where people should enlighten the cerebellum of the leaders with some thing extra with broader knowledge of unity , development, basic human rights and peace. If people come with these things, then only the year 2009 will be great to us, if not ...............................

Thoughful and readable article for which the author is subject to be thankful for his appreciative efforts to the right cause.Forgetting the primary duty towards nation's long term fate of its soul i.e.separate staus as an independent nation and welfare of people, are the real problems with these so called great and greater most political leaders of Nepal. The Nepali politicians rather giving priority to beg alms from external evil forces for fulfillments of their desire to have power to be ruler of the country than having real efforts to make understanding with Nepal's entire inter national forces.Nation and its continuity as independent status, people and their allround welfare and democratic life, are the must and rest all others are secondary,so at the cost of those value no revolution and development is worthy and invaluable.
