Trade liberalisation essential for economic growth: Dr. Mahat

Finance Minister Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat, said that due to a lack of ‘effective implementation of trade liberalisation initiatives’, no substantial progress has been made in poverty reduction and trade expansion fronts.

Mahat however said that the present government is fully committed towards economic development of the nation.

What does trade liberalization mean - you are repeating we already know in globalization 101 class - but how are you going to implement in Nepal -- what are the industries that are going to be build - what are we going to sell when there are no skills among the people - first instead of running why don’t we now realize we have to first learn to crawl, then walk, then we can start running -- why not talk about what would really work in Nepal -- are we in a position to compete with the world market that u try to make people believe that it would elevate poverty --

Mahat is talking too much.

Maoist brothers should give "land to the tilter". There should be land reform system and new taxation system. There are too many rich people in Nepal and many of them are Indians and we should send them back because their contribution to Nepal is nothing. They have sucked our money and land. Every property is State (Maoists) property which belongs to the people of Nepal. This is one country and one state (Nepal) which has been made by our Maoists brothers. Long live Maoists Republic of Nepal. Prithvi may have united Nepal but his sons have looted Nepal. Infact Prithvi surpressed the local tribes and killed many tribe.

Lord Prachanda and Lord Baburam along with Sir Girija Babu and Madam Sailaja and Sir Madhav Kumar have brought the real revolution. This is our new Nepal.

Lal Salaam.

Dr. Mahat ko Bank Balance ali kaam bayechha. Thats why he wants Trade liberalisation so that he can sell some state owned industry to India and account the residual in his bank balance.

After all he have invested so much money to became Dr. in Economics, and a perfect Place in NC. I think he deserves that much, with his dedication and devotion for Janandolan II. If its not enough then sell some parts to India for other leaders. After all they have done some much hardship to get the position.

haina ta Janta ho. Tapai haru ko thulo balidan chhha nepal ma prajatantra ko lagi. neeta haru le corer ko bank account kholda nepali janta ko chhak ma tato lagene. baru tiniharu le ghus na khana pau da chhahi            humanrights, actors, singers, lawyers, doctors sabai jana sadak ma.

What a great Nepalis, Keep it on, Future of Nepal is the burden of China and India, why should we worry so much. whoever gives the good price gets Nepal and Nepalis for Free.

That is happening all over the world,so we have to adopt it.I think we tend to be negative towards our leaders even if they are saying the right things. However we respond positively to those airing populist or bizzare opinions.
