Parties fail to pick common presidential candidate; frontrunners are three Madhesis

With discussions among the parties for a common presidential candidate going nowhere, the three major parties - CPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) - have come up with their own candidates for the posts of president and vice-president. What's common about their proposals is that all three presidential candidates are Madhesis.

This is best decision taken by maoist after CA-election. maoists have repeatly requested UML to forward a presidential candidate which will be acceptable for all the nepalese people. how they can support a person like MAKUNE which is rejected by people. They are not allowed to accept such proposal in moral ground. At the same way maoists are ready to accept a republican candidate from  NC. Now maoist are ready to remain on opposition but they do not like to betray people.
by not supporting MAKUNE they betrayed UML but not to people. maoists are accountable for people not to UML.

It seems that Maoists can lead the nation better than the old forces (politica). The old forces, who learnt every tactics of governing the country from the 'Rulers who were neither citizen, nor subject of the country', tried the same old formulas.

The UML has fallen flat this time by applying the divide and rule formula in the name of Madhesi demand of autonomy. Similar is the case with NC, as it has virtually lost its stronghold in Madhes.

The Maoist has sensed that without madhes in their control, it cannot do a sustainable constitution building.

The constitution (and govt.) of Afghanistan (almost) failed because the interim govt. focussed on the 'substance' of the constitution, than the 'process'.

The Maoists, by supporting a Madhesi candidate for President has shown some wisdom. Ram Raja Prasad is a Marxist and a Madhesi. This decision is a survival strategy of Maoist in Madhes. It didnt forget that most of the candidtates from Madhes are Madhesis (and not pahadis as in NC or UML). It should not forget this in future too on deciding the vital issues and crisis of Madhes.

Now is the time for the Maoists to prove their wisdom. I wish them luck to safely land the country (in crisis) to a secure, stable and strong nation that can boast of their real 'sovereignty'.

  After all,the unnatural and dirty coalition-force set up under the so called 12 points agreement pact done at foreign land with the great idea and help from foreigner chiefly for overthrowing the stae-authority ruled taht time and installing the easy and supportive government so that ones ultimate goal could be achieved through the stategic game plan of the same,needs to be materialised in real way as seen at this point of time.
  What is happening,is neither a surprise nor an unexpected development because all set earlier by the master who architect this grand design for their net gain but all these our power-hungry and greedy stupid so called leaders were failed earlier to realized the mistake they were going to make.Greediness and selfishness impaired the vision of our great-leaders and they became blind out of existence of their two eyes,are gradually knowing what fatal mistake they have committed but it seems that that would be too late to them so that the could correct themselves.Puppet and rubber-stamp brand individaul who leads the country is the suicidal act for a independent nation,that is why the time and situation asking all to be cautious and effortful from not having such an individaul for nation.God bless Nepal and entire Nepali.

The problems is not being all three front runners  from Madhes, the problem is that our leaders  always agreed if their own interest will be fulfilled rather than come to the understanding and conclusion to make common goal and strategy  -for the welfare of the nation and the people.... Whoever might be the president or Prime minister??- I think they should have solid strategy, vision, goal to uplift the national interest and fulfill people's basic necessities to overcome poverty and illiteracy and make national economy and people to compete with other nation.

Every party is greedy of power.

Maoist are killers . They are puppet of India. Their god is SUD. They will do what their loadmaster will say.

NC has mystified themselves from their objectives... Their power hunger politics has derailed them.. At least they give simple sampthy to their MB killed followers by not joining neck with MB to form coalition government. ANyway NC has somehow managed to be far from the killers and dacoits.

UML has no respect for those who are killed by Maoist.. They just want power and they are ready to forgot the blood of their mercilessly killed followers. As often Modh Nath Praschit write in kantipur and demanded justification for their killed followers. MB killed Yadu Gautam for nothing, MB killed one of the member of parliament for nothing, MB killed Tilak Pandey for nothing as Modnath demands the justification on their killing. Forum has nothing to do in Nepali politics besides spreading separatist view. They slained MB cadres but <MB joined hands with them to form government. What a pity for those 30 people who are killed and slained.

The current path of Nepalese politics is heading towards confrontation.The Maoist did blunder by betraying its own friendly forceCPN UML.
And at the same time NC and UML also made a big mistake.Girija and Madhav are not a Mashiha who deserves the post of president unopposed.If they had to bring Yadav and Paswan  forward as their candidates then why did not they proposed theses names  in the very begining?
The current allaiance of three parties is not a pure political alllaiance.After capturing the post of President and Chairperson of the CA respectively by NC and UML the allaiance will definately collapsed and the new situation will  emerged.The demand of time right now is mutual understanding between 3 parties and the formation of collition government in the leadership of Maoist .

Hello, there is a popular saying: "You should even listen to the children if they are making sense". I am only saying that Maoists are new, but their political sense is better than other old political forces. This can be proved because it is only when Maoists raised its madhesi candidate for precidency, which led to other forces to raise its madhesi candidate. This only justifies how right the maoist's decision was.
