[size=14 pt]King Gyanendra will be remembered for his sacrifices to the country-especially for preventing Nepal from being annexed to the Indian kuttas at least during his reign. Now, the hooligans and the dacoits can expedite the process of selling Nepal, its water resources and not mention her young daughters to India for real cash. History will look back and say that King Gyanendra was a true Nepali hero, a man of authority, conviction, and a great soul. Nepal has lost its true hero...but maybe not for too long if the tide returns.

Gyanendra, GPK, Army, Sujata tried every things not to implement republic. if nobody is behind him, he has to accept it or he could go to exil!
Gyanendra is not true nepali but an ant of this fable:

once two ants  were chating together and have seen a big elephant was nearing to them. one ant asked another, whether he have to kill/destroy/abolish the elephant. another ant replied, "poor elephant is alone let him servive, we can make the way free".

"Today  is  the day of unbearable loss to the Nation, that united, integrated and unified  soil called Nepal lost its true protector son".

There is rise of snakes.  A serpenter called sood is playing "Bina" and Snakes ( Cobra, Rattle Snake, Harau and Python) are dancing. Venums and teeths of these snakes had been taken out and given milk time and again by soods and company.  They  just  looks terrible  but in fact they are powerless and shameless

May god bless Nepalese fools  a normal  brain

Hello Beggar,

In reply to your example of a fable or whatever, I think you do not see what is happening to Nepal and its existence from a neutral standpoint.  What is happening is that your hero (and a man who should be tried for genocide in the UN war crimes tribunal) Prachanda destroying the culture and unique identity for Nepal for the wrong personal ambition to become a first president or prime minister in a republic. The prachanda path was a way to "brainwash" you guys and promise you something in return so that Pushpa could become a president.  Trust me he will not give you anything...only more petrol hikes, more poverty, more exodus of Nepali jobless guys like you to the Arab, Malaysia, Japan etc. to earn a living. Trust me your thug leaders have used you for their gain only.

The Shah dynasty has always loved the cultness. The "culture of mine" in them is rampant. They had been one of the bloodiest and fierce monarchy for years. But the demise of this institution is the finest result of the nepali society gradually being least ignorant. We can't be called poors and have a rich King next to us,and socially discriminated and having the King who inspires the same social curse to go on,who is incapable of mediating between socio-political actors. In many countries though having some extreme clauses, the Kings hardly use them but utilize their influences so that the tensed situation become fluid so it could arrive to the normality. But the Bir Bikram Shahdev's doctrine didn't let these Kings to accept that people is "power not only the force".Apart from unifying Nepal in that medieval era, practically they did nothing,If we look into the history,we see that they were always closed to a bunch of powerful people,be in times of happiness or sadness. The most horrific thing for general people is that, during the royal massacre instead of showing greatness as it is normally sought from a institution which is considered a divine power,he demonstrated the petty personal interest to become a King.He might be a good person and he showed it by exiting gracefully. But he became the prisioner of that ugly situation by celebrating the succession to the throne immediately after that inhumane accident which is still a secrete page for most of us.He even didn't want to explain his version.Perhaps he followed his advisors who are blind ultra-patriotics,and just love to wear Daura-suruwal(so called national dress till the date)to be called true nepalis. He became a mere jailbird of that ugly situation. But we as people should look forward and "The challenge of the hour"is to contribute to the conditions of this adequate change in Nepal to convert into New nepal and in all the political parties too.So that we already too much suffered people aren't subjected to furthermore. The ex-King from his individual capacity can still contribute more but a humble suggestion for him would be to act as an humble citizen and speak like most nepali people do.If he really think that he along with his family are honest towards us.He must remember that Nepal, right now, counts as the most poor country and still we suffer hunger and lack of basic necessities.Instead of singing the same old and tired patriotic ideological engine and the playing the game of victimism. We're no more interested in it.May our peace loving culture and religions help us as well him to be humble and kind to everybody!!!

Gyanendra's so-called press meet today and his drafted speech is crocodile's tear. He knew his fate when he witnessed (or may be more than witnessed) the massacre of his brother's family and today also he knew what he will have to say to those reporters and tv media. let us hope none of us are still having soft feelings for him. He wrote his fate by his own hands and he is suffering that.

Listen Nirmal and Laxman and Beggar: Your have become sold under the disguise of a "new" Nepal.  Just becasue the King is gone does not mean that you are free or will have freedom. You will become oppressed by the very people that you are singing your national anthem for now. There is no new Nepal.  It is lie that is being permeated to decieve you foools.  All you see is the short term gain of a handful of your goon leaders and "phaure" and "zhaure" cadres who will sell Nepal along with your sisters and daughters to Indian brothels.

The point is that you need to see beyond your veil of ignorance and see that you are destroying culture, heritage, and uniqueness in the name of new Nepal. The Chinese communists regret to this day about what they lost...so will you and your progeny...

King Gyanendra was a bit naive and proud. But he stood up to the dhotis and foreign elements. Your leaders are merely puppets of India because India harbored them to dismantle the monarchy. But in the end India will use your leaders just like they have used other leaders and take over Nepal in the near future. The US will support that in order to contain extremism and terrorism and anarachy to spread across Asia.

Good luck to you all

It seems some people communicate with fables, so here's another one:

Once upon a time there was a tiny country high up in the mountains. The people were well known for their tolerance and peacefulness despite being poor and not very well ruled. The politicians were corrupt and a mostly useless bunch who cared more about themselves than their people. Despite lots of aid from richer countries hardly any of this reached the people or was spent wisely on projects to improve their lives. The greedy politicians ensured that they got a large "cut" of any money coming into this country.
Then, one day, a group of people decided they would rebel and fight these politicians. They formed an army, mostly of poor people and stayed mostly in the jungle and mountains where the politician's army couldn't reach them. But, armies have to eat, and it became easy to take food from the very poor people they were meant to be helping. Then, they wanted the people's money to buy more weapons, and clothes, and equipment. They did fight "the politicians" but not directly, preferring to cause havoc in district offices, police offices and so on. But all the time the ordinary people were being killed, thousands of them. And the politicians were doing nothing. They were all right in their government houses with their big salaries etc.
Then, someone decided this just wasn't good enough and went to visit the Wisdom Tree. The Tree had always helped the people in their times of trouble, but it only bore it's fruit every 10-20 years. The Tree told the politicians to help the people and to fight this rebel army, but they wouldn't as they were too concerned for themselves and their own wealth and position. So, he exercised his "power" and dissolved the parliament. He then invited some of the politicians to help him fight the war and run the country more efficiently. But they refused and caused lots of trouble and agitation in the streets which meant the ordinary people got even poorer, businesses failed and the situation got worse. Everyone was working for themselves rather than thinking of the country.
Then, the street agitation got very serious with the rebel army almost freely allowed into the capital city without any major intervention by the army which would have meant a lot of bloodshed. So The Tree “retreated” and  the same politicians took control again, but with a few of the rebel leaders added to their ranks. Nice houses, good salaries and so on.At the same time, a few people visited The Tree and noticed that the single fruit was looking a bit rotten.
After two years, the people had been "given" the chance to vote in an election and everybody was very happy. They had holidays to celebrate and decided to call themselves a republic instead of a monarchy, which was very exciting. They even decided to get rid of The Wisdom Tree because it had given a rotten fruit that year.  But rather strangely, two months later, the same politicians who had the power before the election were still in power.Even more strangely they were the same politicians who had been in power before the Wisdom Tree threw them out! They wouldn't leave, and demanded to share in the government and anything else that went with it like property and money. One of them even wanted to be called president so that he could control the army and throw out the politicians if they behaved badly, just like all those years ago.
So the people looked around for someone to discipline these politicians, but the Tree had gone!

There are many morals to this story, choose your own.

What ever Gyanendra said in his short press conference may be true to some degree but no one can forget the fact that he is a businessman and have made billions using his royal status privileges. He built Soaltee hotel with Government money, not paying any tax, not paying the electricity, water and telephone bills and in Government land. It is sad that he is given free accommodation when millions of Nepalese cannot pay thire rent. He is a billionaire and why should not he pay the rent. The press statement from the palace before his departure which starts with “char barna chatis jât” is a reminder of old feudalistic society and reflection of Brahmanism that used the caste system to suppress and exploit the people.

What ever the case may be one chapter of Nepal’s history comes to an end. This credit must go solely to Maoists and Terai uprising not to Girija and his Congress who is trying to get the full credit. Now we have to look for the future and make another important step and that will be the exit of Girija and his clan.

Its  a  time  to become  real  loyal, dedicated, honest and  patriotric children of Nepal-mother because the time and situation after the abolishment of monarchy which undoubtedly created a kind of vaccum might invite visible-invisible  challenges in intacting nation's independency, territorial integrity, unity and above all sovereignty. The whole-sole objective of evil external forces was: anyhow removing the monarching in order to weakenening national unity and strength so that their ultimate goal to make Nepal  their protected state, not  an independent, through the  government rulled by their puppets.
What is important is : Budhi  Maryo  Bhanne Hoina Ki  Kaal  Palkyo Bhanne Chinta Ho " The main thing is to be aware of all the dirty and foul games which have been clearly seen at this very critical juncture and if the dealing and state running styles and the dirty politics of power-hunger leaders are not changed, the most unwanted worse result upto diminishing of imdependent status of state could not be stopped.
The greater, wider, patriotric and visioned thought of being true sons of Mother-Nepal by accepting the powerless monarchy by late king Birendra and the easy giving an approval to peoples verdict and leaving the palace with usual and smooth way by current king Ganendra, rather than accepting undue and unfair advise of evil external force, are the most important thing to independent Nepal and its freedom loving people needed to wide welcomed, appreciated and highly valued.

Its time for everybody to wake up.

1. Gyanendra gave his crown without any hesitation for the sake  and mandate of people but see Girija is having touble giving the post of prime minister.

2. Everybody surmised Gyanendra  was shifting to a very modern and expensive palace. What television found was it is like a poor old hut compared to some of the houses where many of our politicians are living.

जनता ले भने अनुसार ज्ञानेन्द्र ले दरबार छाडे । एस्तो लाग्छ माओवादी बहेक यो देश को कनून सपै ले मन्दो रहेछ ।

Nepal lost its identity and uniqueness today
King should be there in nepal in mine opinion . Coz we have seen all 14 years after 1946 all the political party fight each other for power . similar is the case now maoist is also a political party and its political party with armed force which is never allowed in any democracy. They threaten people. They have promised to develop Nepal but we can see from the begning their fight for the power. First they want both primeminister and president . Now they want ceremonial president and full power vested priminister with priminister from their party and president from non political body .. Nepal future is dark in this greedy political leaders for power ...

I dont understand their politics whom are they developing by appointing 601 Members of parliament for small country like nepal and too paying them 38 thousand per month for each apart from extra luxury to them. We can calculate
38*12 per Member of parliament ==456000
456000*12 =5472000
5 crore of budget wastages for these MP who only visit sometimes to parliament house
if this budget were to allocate in development than it will improve country
I dont mean to say that there should be no MP but I dont think that Nepal require 601 MP and there too reservation and quotas

King as the head of Country would have helped Nepal
lets see the future ..

Country of quotas

This is a real sacrifice of King Gaynendra, it gives true picture of his love towards nationa nd people. However, still some people are not satisfied and trying to potrey false image about him. Be advise to those people at this stage instead of westing time criticze others they better adives their new so called king without crown to show honesty towards Nepal and Nepalese people.
