Protestors vandalize Everest Nursing Home

A group of people vandalised the Everest Nursing Home at Baneshwor in the capital on Wednesday morning alleging that a patient died of ‘doctors’ negligence.

The relatives of Tula Ram Gautam, who died while undergoing treatment at the Nursing Home, claimed that he died due to the negligence of the doctors and the staffers of the Nursing Home.

eKantipur has said that some of these protestors included Maoists.

Actually present government is practicing MOBOCRACY in name of Democracy. There are few vandalizers in this country who now think that they can do anything in ths Country. And out Media names them PRESSURE GROUPS. No system can operate properly till the citizens are disciplined.
And in context to the news of vandalizers vandalizing Everest Nurshing Home, i comment that police should shoot these people at the sight. They just want to create panic in the country. And what about Dr. Giri of Butwal? What the terrorist want to prove? And what the Government want to project by not taking any action against them?

Well done guys!! Democracy is finally spreading its root. I think all these vandalizers should be given a position in interim goverment as well. Afterall they aren't any different then maoist.  Second point, all the newly appointed police chiefs should be shacked for using excessive force (baton and tear gas) on peaceful demonstration. Intrestingly chaps, whats did the ambulance and the building did to you. Well done Mobs.

Weblog, if I remember correctly (infact I do), you were the same person who was supporting the SPAM rule a month ago. You and your rhetorics.

You must have read an article in weblognepal.com but it’s an open platform. There are posts from more than one person, having their own view and ideologies. I am not a hardliner. I believe in friction... friction of opinions. But I have never supported SPAM… infact I hate them.

If I hate SPAM, if you hate SPAM and if we all hate SPAM...why are we not joining hands? We cannot let Nepal bleed, no more.

Hmm, I wonder how the police used tear gas against "peaceful" protesters protesting the death of a loved one? If I am not mistaken, wasn't use of tear gas called opressive and inhumane just a few weeks ago?

Who needs aristocracy when you can have protestocracy. Who needs reason when you can burn down anything you dislike. In fact, why weren't the crowd allowed to burn down the nursing home?

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the Threatocratic Secular State of Nepal.

I do not blame all the doctors. I have got many doctor-friends. People are forced to protest because the number of doctor-butchers has gone up in the last time. 20 Years ago anyone wishing to become a doctor or engineer had to pose very good academic background. But these days, if you can afford to spend lots of money, its not a big deal even if you passed SLC in III division. I do not have the updated info on the costs for the studies medicine and engineering. 5 yrs ago, you had to spend about Rs. 1,800,000 for medecine and Rs. 800,000 for Bachelor in engineering at private colleges. In 1991, I met a guy who came to study medicine in Kharkov, Ukraine. What he said is when he would be a doctor, he would take revenge on his enemies at the time of surgery in the hospital. This type of doctors has spoilt the good and respected image of other doctors. And now, Everest Nursing Home pleaded guilty and paid Rs. 250,000 as a compensation. Whats this? It is like if you have money, you can  kill people. Is it so? There must be a Law to regulate these kinds of situations. In my opinion, the doctor of Everest Nursing Home should have been charged with some degree of murder.

One more fact I would like to add is there had been some cases of accepting students who had
only SLC to medical instutions in Russia immediately after the falling off the Soviet Union. Plz note that before 1991 students needed to have at least certificate level to get admission into educational institutions in Russia and CIS countries. I think once court (nepali) had also involved in past to resolve the dispute over whether or not NMC to register these guys.

Hey Guys,
I remember some news papers (kantipur) saying ter gas is against geneva convection. Did I hear the police used tear gas?Huh  Now where is kantipur. We are going to have lots and lots of these in days to come as some of the maoist friends of anti_monrachy, freedom fighters are out in the street.
India advocating no use of strength few days ago is now using lathis on doctors. I love to see dismantled india after what Mr Shyam saran and Sonia did in Nepal.
