SC to discuss HoR proclamation

The Supreme Court has decided to discuss about the legal and constitutional status of the historic declaration of the parliament among Justices of the Supreme Court.

Speaking at a programme organized to mark the golden jubilee celebration of the Supreme Court, Chief Justice Dilip Kumar Poudel said that he will hold a discussion with justices of the Supreme Court on the recent declaration of the House of Representatives to find out whether the declaration is part of the constitution and whether it can curtail the apex court’s powers or not.

Protests in India after declaring Nepal secular state

Kathmandu, 21 May: India's main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has raised strong objections to the declaration of Nepal as a secular state, Samaya Samaj reports.

Thousands protested at Sunauli, Tuthibari and other places in Maharajgunj district Friday against the parliament declaration; BJP organized the demonstrations.

According to Hindusthan Times Online edition, the demonstrations were led by Yogi Aditya Nath, BJP member of parliament and chairman of World Hindu Federation India.

The party directed him to organize programmes against developments in Nepal.

Adityanath told the meeting USA and Great Britain conspired to declare Nepal a secular state.

Why take Nepal to their state?

If Nepal is declared secular, India will face challenges from Maoists and ISI.

Two extremist Hindu organizations are supporting the protests.

Congress (I) and communists in government have supported the declaration by Nepal's parliament.

I am not communal like you, there is no need to defend your community, I have good friends from all the sides, mostly newars are my friends.
If you use to read the news paper peoplesreview, you never can say it is unbiased and whitepaper from FM shows clearly they were paid by gyanendra.
-the main goals of maoist are perfect but means to achieve these goals (voilence) is not acceptable
-some leader were corrupt, but they have to face an eletion every 5 years. total corruption by leaders in 15 years is less than by king in last 15 months.
where is check and balance of gyanendra/paras and co ?
if you have minimum IQ, you know the true character of paras.
you can argue about the fresh mandate of the leader, because they were elected just 9 years ago, but gyanendra is never elected,
why nepal is so poor after 238 years of kingship ?
etc. etc.

there are two categories who support king
-they have personal interest, (to misuse national income)
-people without common sense.

Remember, we get killed for raising voice against Maoist atrocities. Nothing happens when we speak against the king, no body comes and kills us. You can go on rampaging statues of the late kings, shout absurd slogans against them, still we dont get killed for it!

I belive, the greatest enemy of our country is the Maoists. The democratic forces, including the people, the parties and even the King should unite together to defeat the enemy.
